The College of Fine Arts is an exciting, innovative, and progressive environment where students and teachers create a strong relationship between the arts and academics. Private support for the college helps extend culture throughout our community, from programs for local school children to theater opportunities for Las Vegas' senior population.
As part of the university's comprehensive campaign, the College of Fine Arts has identified the following key fundraising priorities:
Film Studies facility
This proposed facility will provide a center for faculty offices, film studios, classrooms, seminar space, and film laboratories for UNLV's program in Film and Television Studies.
Performing arts complex
While the university's three major performing arts venues are already named, UNLV will recognize tremendous benefit from a donor's gift to name the three-building complex. Private support will provide for enhancements to acoustical shell and walls, front-of-house interiors, and modernization with state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems.
Advising center
Support for the College of Fine Arts' advising program provides high-quality academic and personal advising to students as advisors assist students with class scheduling, academic or career goals, and degree information.
Student development
These funds provide support to allow the students opportunities that go beyond the classroom at conferences, through international exchange programs, and as competitors in nationally and internationally acclaimed arts festivals.
Architecture facility addition (wing)
The campus's master plan includes an addition to the Paul Sogg Architecture Building — to be named as a separate wing — to accommodate the expansion of the university's nationally recognized architecture program.
"Invent the Future"
Major support for the college will create endless opportunities for tomorrow's leaders in the arts. In honor of a significant gift, a donor may name the College of Fine Arts or endowed faculty chairs, professorships, or scholarships.
