The Honors College brings to students the advantages of an outstanding small-college liberal arts education in the context of the vast academic and cultural resources of a rapidly growing national university. Private support helps recruit and retain Nevada's brightest students in our community.

As part of the university's comprehensive campaign, the Honors College has identified the following key fundraising priorities:

Advising support
Support for the Honor's College advising program provides high-quality academic and personal advising to students as advisors assist students with class scheduling, academic or career goals, and degree information.

Equipment, software, and database acquisition and replacement
The Honors College maintains rich academic resources for faculty and student research. Private support for these educational materials, as well as current technological tools, will help students and faculty in every academic discipline.

Faculty opportunity fund
Support for faculty research; teaching; and curriculum, professional, and administrative development directly affects the diversity and quality of teaching our students receive, both inside and outside the classroom. This program also provides support to help the Honors College recruit and retain outstanding minority faculty as well as faculty for programs in which few qualified candidates are available nationally.

Student development
Students have many opportunities to enhance their academic experiences beyond the classroom and internship programs, and development funds offer a route to expanded education at conferences, through research, or as participants in international programs.

Undergraduate student support
These funds provide support to allow the students opportunities to excel academically, including merit-based scholarships, undergraduate assistantships, support for student organizations and events, and international exchange programs.

"Invent the Future"
Major support for the college will create endless opportunities for tomorrow's leaders. In honor of a significant gift, a donor may name the Honors College or endowed faculty chairs, professorships, or scholarships.
