The Division of Student Affairs provides quality services and programs that create educational opportunities, foster collegiate success, enhance continuous learning, and promote a just and inclusive campus. Your support and contributions will unite the students at UNLV to promote cohesiveness and unity, leading to a stronger school spirit and legacy.
As part of the university's comprehensive campaign, the Division of Student Life has identified the following key fundraising priorities:
Student Union theater
Private support will greatly aid this priority project in the new Student Union, which began construction in June 2005. The theater, to be named in honor of a donor's gift, will be a hub of activity for student and community activities.
New Student Union ballroom
The new 10,000-square-foot ballroom will have the capacity to seat approximately 1,100 people and can be subdivided into three smaller spaces that can also be utilized separately for student or community programs.
Student Recreation Center
The new Student Recreation Center, located adjacent to Cox Pavilion and the residence halls, will be a major focal point both in architecture and in activity for the campus community. While our students voted to raise the money for the building with their fees, private support will enhance the overall opportunities students will have in wellness, nutrition, and physical fitness services.
Student Recreation Center outdoor pool
As part of the Student Recreation Center, the 20,000-square-foot outdoor pool will be a core component of the recreational and wellness programming available for students.
Student leadership development endowment
Today's student seeks opportunities to develop leadership skills and the ability to apply them to real world environments. Funds to support leadership programs will provide students access to conferences, training sessions, and a variety of professionals who can help students relate their university experiences to life beyond college.
"Invent the Future"
Major support for Student Affairs will create endless opportunities that extend beyond the classroom into our community as our students hone their leadership and involvement skills. Many naming opportunities are available, for new and existing facilities, as well as program support.
